I rented a car from Europcar in Oxford and returned it to this Europcar. The lady who conducted my inspection was really nice. She noticed a puncture in one of the tyres that I must have just received that day, as I had not noticed in my 2 week rental time. I asked about my deposit and she assured me that since it was not a metal part of the car and a simple puncture, that I would receive my deposit back. Well it has been 6 months and I have still not received my deposit back. Please contact me someone.
Really good place to hire a van. Cars are always clean and ready to go. Helpful and friendly service. Staff always with big smile on the face. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for hire a car.
The service here was great. Especially Nina, who booked our hire van, minutes before closing time when we arrived after being let down by another local company. The process of booking was quick, straightforward, and the staff we encountered were all very friendly and pleasant. Our van had a slight technical issue during our hire, which was no fault of the company's (as it was brand new with less than 2k miles on the clock), and I wouldn't even mention it except to highlight how they remedied the situation. As we had a delay due to the fault, they allowed us an extra day free of charge, and couldn't have been any more apologetic. I won't hesitate to use this company again in the future for van hire, they really helped us out when one of the "big" companies had left us high and dry without the van we had booked. I'd give them 6 stars out of 5 if it was possible!
Absolute sham, the agent hand wrote note about scratches on passenger door down but when I took the van back they denied writing the note on paper work, called head office who left a vmail confirming I wouldn't be charged and 6 weeks later they have taken the Money out my bank... will be contacting legal advice first thing in morning
The actual rental process was a good experience. However, 6 weeks after returning the vehicle I noticed a Visa charge for GBP 105. I called the Customer Services number. First attempt the person said that he would transfer me to the correct dept. The Line went dead. I called back and had to repeat all the information that I had previously supplied. This person then said that she would 'open a ticket' and that I could expect a response within 7 working days. Now almost 3 weeks and I am out of the UK and there has been no response. So still no idea what the charge is for and unfortunately I do not have the rental number now. WILL BE ADDRESSING WHEN BACK IN THE UK LATER THIS YEAR
