I have had good and terrible treatment at this practice. Dr Eardley is lovely and treats me well as is Clare the receptionist. Both these women are a credit to the nhs. Unfortunately Dr Maclaren and Dr Reid have treated me very badly so I avoid them if possible. Making appointments is usually easy. I agree with other people that say an investigation is needed and some staff retrained. I suffered terribly with gastritis (which could have killed me) for many years before being diagnosed and I have a learning disability that is still not diagnosed so Im not getting the support I need. I live in fear and am very sick. One Star each for Dr Eardley and Clare.
Doctor Melrose has been absolutely wonderful in every way during my treatment. Patient, sympathetic, understanding and professional. I will always be grateful to her. When I attend I mostly see Doctor Melrose. On the occassions I have seen Doctor Roberts he has always been helpful and listened to me.
Disgraceful surgery. Arrogant and unhelpful reception staff. You can hardly ever schedule an appointment in advance. You have to call in on the day at 8:30am and hope that you get through. You can't even get a telephone appointment unless it's "non-medical" in nature. What is the point in Radnor Street? At least one doctor has written completely unprofessional comments in my partners medicql records which were inadvertantly shown to my partner, insinuiating that she was imagining her pre-diagnosed medical condition. Considerably poor standards and unsafe practices. Should be investigated and shut down!
Absolutely awful surgery, rude and unprofessional reception staff and bad doctors. Avoid Dr Roberts. I have complained previously before about a certain doctor after his unprofessional remarks about an asthma attack I had saying "I think you expect me to wave a magic wand and to make it disappear" this was after I rang up worried as I had breathing difficulties again after the asthma attack. Had severe back pain, went in and was seen by Dr Roberts who gave me medication that was unsuitable for asthmatics, rang up and said and he said it would be fine, it wasn't my breathing got difficult. Was scheduled for a telephone consultation by the same doctor, the receptionist didn't put my consultation in the system and the doctor had left the practice early as well. Disgusting and neglectful service as it was regarding a bad reaction to pain killers. The practice needs to be investigated by the health board and staff and doctors need to be re-trained. I have never had such poor service as this. Please don't got to this practice I don't want anyone to go through the amount of frustration and upset I went through.
Awful surgery. They do not give the emergency appointments. The reception staff is very nice however some of the GPS are not professional . For an example Dr Melrose is the most awkward person I've ever deal with. She made me feel so uncomfortable it's unbelievable. Not recommended.
