We went to the playground. One of the best Ive seen anywhere. Absolutely brilliant. Special treat for young children. I wont spoil the surprises with too much detail.
Great country park, mini zoo is definitely value for money, and staff very friendly and helpful. Play parks are great with different areas for all ages! Definitely recommend
Lovely range of animal that are well cared for. Staff are lovely. However saddened by the small size of enclosures and the small numbers of some social group animals. Not a big fan of zoos, prefer conservation parks where animals are homed in large parks and reintroduced into wild. However, Calderglen do have breeding pairs of endangered species so they are helping. Other than that, the park is a lovely walk and the surrounding area is great.
Great park with a small zoo, very reasonably priced making it accessible to most, even during tighter months. We visited during Halloween, were the park was well decorated and there was a fun treasure hunt and arts and crafts for the kids. A very family friendly place. Good for a day out.
We arrived for opening on a Monday during half term so parking was a breeze. There was a spooky treasure hunt for the kids but was all inside so we couldn't do it as we had our dog with us. The play area is fab with lots for kids of all sizes and our dog was welcome in it as long as he stayed on his lead so the whole family could enjoy it. Walking the trails was easy with lots of things areas for the kids (and dog) to discover.
