If I could review The Cathouse as less than one star, I would. After being informed that the Mastodon after-party was being held at The Cathouse. The door supervisor refused my brother and I entry on the grounds that we'd had too much to drink. This was unexpected as both my brother and I are both T - Total. Wow!

Best alternative night club in Glasgow, 3 different rooms so something for everyone. Friendly staff and new refurb looks amazing.
I have been attending catty for ten years and it is always a good night out. The music is great. Upstairs is better if you want a pop punk and classic 90s Kerrang vibe mixed with current pop. Especially during the last hour or two, its banger after banger. Down stairs is heavier with your more classic rock/metal Scuzz vibe. Great for head bangers. People make Glasgow and People make catty. There are a huge range of people here from all walks of life and they all get along. Even if you dont smoke, check out the smoking area. Its a great social hub for meeting people. The people might look scary to some but everyones very friendly. As an LGBT guy I can not recommend here enough if your a bit of a rocker and the classic gay scene doesnt do anything for you. Theres always some gay guys here but its not overloaded and youll never experience homophobia here. Get on your New Rock boots and get dancin.
Been coming here for 18 years! I've seen 2 renovatios, countless gigs and had many a drunken endeavour here. Prices are decent, music great! The older I get the more I see the new breed of young metalheads emerge. Split over 2 floors for differing tastes in music.They have had some absolute roasters for staff who, thankfully, no longer reside there.Worth checking out if you're in town.
