First time I've been back to my old university in decades and brilliant to see the Hunterian is still as magnificent as I remember. The Hunterian contains a fine collection of items collected by William Hunter, widely considered to be the leading teacher of anatomy, and the outstanding obstetrician of his day. The museum contains a fantastic and very high quality medical, geo-science, zoology and numismatic collection, and much much more. Right now, there's a special exhibition of Byzantine Coins and absolutely worth seeing. The museum has a free 10 minute talk and I was lucky enough to be there just there was a talk on the coins. Also worth mentioning is the exhibit on the Roman Britain & the Antonine Wall and fossils, which are amazing too.A must visit if in Glasgow and worth spending two to three hours. Also, note that there's a talk every Tuesday at 1pm and the one I attended was the Byzantine Coins.

Really really interesting to see all the artifacts and the history behind it. It's definitely a must go.

Absolutely thrilled about what is showed in this place, specially the specimens there. Just freaking interesting.

Amazing. You need atleast half a day to really appreciate it, or if you're like me and like to read about all the fantastic exhibits, longer. If you're squeamish, you may wish to walk past the first section. There's a section about previous minerals and gems, old armoury and weapons, skeletons

Great little collection. Unique, quiet and lovely inside in a beautiful setting. Would love more detailed info on how the different instruments worked
