Great value and service
Really good bike repair shop, much cheaper than most other good places in Glasgow. Would use it more if I lived closer.
Couldnt change pedals by myself cos of corrosion and everywhere where ive been ive heard same things - no we cant, leave it til ... (2-3 days)Came here and Will changed it in 6 minSo thanks one more time:)
Phoned up this morning to ask about servicing children's bikes and whether cleaning them up was part of the service. The owner said he'd prefer them coming in clean - so spent a couple of hours getting them nice and shiny and brought them in. Conversation went a little like this:Me: "Hello, just brought in a couple of children's bikes for servicing."Owner (barely looking at me): "Don't know when I'll get round to them."Me: "Ok...."Owner: "Not much space in the shop left for any more bikes" (goes back to work).So that was me, dismissed from the premises. No sign of a 'Sorry couldn't help', or a 'Thanks for your interest'.I have no idea if the owner is good with bikes, but he really doesn't seem good with people. Perhaps some communication skills / customer relationship training would be useful - or perhaps just acquiring some manners?Edit: thanks for your message, Willy. 'Impatient'? I don't think so - unless you expect your customers to just wait in your shop holding their bikes in the air after you've been rude to them. As for the 'outcome' - it was a pretty good one, as I took my custom to Corner Bikes, Shawlands, where I was treated politely and professionally. Good luck with your business.
I had broken my bike chain the day before so stopped by to ask when Willy could have a look. I was told to pick up the bike and bring it over. He fitted a new chain and checked my gears (which had always been sticky) straight away and pretty inexpensively. Couldnae recommended more!
