It's overcrowded some students are sitting on the floor as there are not enough seats for all the bums. Is very run down and dirty too. The carpets are easily 10 years old. The toilets are disgusting. The walls have scum/rust running down them. How dirty those keyboards are! You should wait 5-10 minutes to use the lift during busy times. Is this the standard of this century ? I reckon it was better 30 years ago.
A lot to do in here. The study areas are nice but not nearly big enough
I have had the pleasure of visiting Special Collections many times. The space is lovely, with a view of the hills around Glasgow, and the staff is extremely helpful.
Fantastic staff, excellent location and cafe (which is cheaper than anywhere else). My only squabble is the building. Who places a large office-like building in the middle of an ancient campus full of beautiful history and buildings? The building - and I say again, not the safe - takes away from the entire campus. (Hence the 4 out of 5)
First rate, excellent facilities, best collection in the area. The staff are very helpful, the coffee and food is first rate and the staff at the coffee shop are polite and very helpful, even given the number of people they have to serve every day. I love this place, massive number of computers, quiet study areas, private group rooms, librarians are very helpful and professional, security keep a tight ship too. It's the best library I have ever used. If you can get access ever even for a short time, then you should come to this place, you could learn anything the world has to offer, from within these walls, if only they could speak... G...
