McLeans took care of my mother after she passed away on 14/11/2018. Lucy and her team/family were so professional, helpful and made it easy for us to say what we needed in a friendly and welcoming environment. The hardest day of our lives was the day of the funeral and the attention to detail, from the order of service to the flowers and my mums favourite charity SSPCA of which there was a donation box was so thoughtful. Our experience was quite good apart from a couple of issues. We were assisted in arranging my Mother's funeral by a young woman. She seemed okay at first. My Mum died in January and the crematorium (Daldowie) and the two Ministers the woman approached on our behalf turned out to be very busy. We decided to seek help from a retired Minister in the village where we live. I telephoned the woman to ask her to contact the crematorium to find out when we could have the funeral in order to arrange a suitable date and time with the Minister. her response shocked me. 'I can't phone the crematorium again', she said 'You guys were supposed to book the Minister first'. After that, I left all the dealings with her to my husband as I felt I couldn't cope. The funeral went smoothly enough but we still haven't received the bill despite being told it had been completed.
We used McLeans funeral directors when my Dad passed recently. The 1st class service is second to none. Tristan looked after Dad & Karen took care of all the arrangements. This was done with empathy & compassion. The family really do go above & beyond to take the stress out of the trauma of losing a loved one. I cannot thank them enough nor repay a debt of gratitude owed to the McLean family.
