Been here a few times to get various baked goods for sharing. There's a good selection of food and options for vegetarians. Lots of options are tasty, but I particular like like the chocolate orange cake and the cinnamon rolls. All the chocolate covering are nice dark chocolate, which I prefer and I'll know it's good quality stuff.Inside is rather cosy and just about fits one large wooden table with chairs around it, plus a few breakfast tables with views outside of the window looking out into Hyndland Street. I've never tried to sit in for a coffee, but I can imagine that it would be quite busy and difficult to move if ever there was more than 6 people in the cafe.The staff are friendly and super helpful with advice on the best way to eat the cinnamon rolls.
Went in here for lunch to try out the bakery. As I was at the counter to decide what cake to get from the quite big selection about 30 seconds in the girl at the counter said "Are you getting anything?" I thought that was a bit rude. I later said "Thinking of getting a sandwich" She then walked off leaving the other member of staff to take my order. Maybe she was new and inexperienced. I bought a sandwich and a little cheesecake with the raspberry on top. Good selection, cakes were a bit on the small side and tad expensive, it is the West End. Not sure if I will be back because I stay in the other side of Byres Road.
The mango and passion fruit cake and the white chocolate cheesecake are by far the most delicious things you'll ever eat!
Fantastic little bakery. Highlights include lamb and mango sausage rolls, raspberry lemon cake and chocolate and ginger cake. Their party trays are great too, as is their takeaway menu. The sit in area is quite small so probably not best for large groups or kids.
Absolutely loved it. As an Italian I've tried many pastries in my life and the ones I've tried in this shop are definitely among the best I can recall. Plus the impeccable service, the free fresh water, the smart glassware, and the decorations in the shop are the signs of a business that cares for his customers.I'd return over and over again if I lived in Glasgow, which thanks to this shop is now even more likely to happen.
