Trains are always cancelled or late. Its hard to plan anything when your method of transport is by using Scotrail, as you dont know when youll arrive, if you do indeed arrive at your destination...The service offered by Scotrail is inferior. Next time Ill take a bus or a taxi...
The smaller of the 2 main stations in Glasgow and the third busiest railway station in Scotland. It's hard to believe that after nearly 2 years of work the refurbishment of this train station is still ongoing. Hopefully the work will complete on schedule on June of 2019. In the mean time, the work means that there's no longer a ticket office inside the station anymore, which is now located outside the station on Dundas Street. There's still automated ticketing machines inside the station, so actually just as easier to buy from those because there's usually more than enough to go round, even during rush hour.The refurbishment also means that the food choices inside the station is pretty limited. Most days I can see 2 or 3 small coffee stalls. So at least there's no shortage of caffeine for the morning commute. If you want actual food for the journey, make sure you get something from outside first.
Never had a terrible experience with the station, its under construction at the moment but at rush hour flow can be slow sometimes but staff always open a few more gates. Food & drink is limited due to the construction but there is shops directly outside so its no problem at all.
The station is one big building site at the moment. Trains are still running from here but it's not very passenger friendly at the moment. The station was closed at 7 in the morning and there were quite a few passengers standing outside waiting for it to open. The toilets weren't open when I transite through. It should be a great station when it's finished though. U fortunately its an essential station if you want to travel from Glasgow to Edinburgh.
A indoor/out door station that's currently under major construction. No frills a few shops and cafes inside. The station serves it's purpose. Upside: They have Elevators and ramps.Downside: It's cold and exposed to all weather conditions & no free toilets (washrooms are messy).
