This is not the first time Ive had a really negative experience at the car wash at JL in recent months but this time I really felt the need to say something. Arrived today looking for a gold service clean for the car but told it was too dirty for a gold service and I had to pay for the platinum service. When I said that I didnt want to spend the extra 10 on the platinum and would be happy with the level of clean advertised for the gold service I was told that they werent interested in doing it and to leave. This company are appalling and are basically leveraging money out of people by being rude, dismissive and disrespectful to customers. Problems of this kind with this car wash service have been noticeable over the last year or so but previous to this we used it a lot and were always very happy with the staff and service. Something has changed....???!!
Paid 25 for wash, polish, wheels, tyres on Monday this week while at a meeting in town - got home to realise wheels were not cleaned properly and there was muck and grime in every corner - returned today on an errand whereupon fellow said he couldnt redo the wheels unless I returned for the car in 30 minutes! I mean who goes into Buchanan Gallery for 30 minutes?? He was very dismissive and I suggest you dont bother getting your car done here as its a rip off. Also the guy pretty much pushed me into the 25 service as Id really only wanted it washed - stupid me!! But extremely poor all round
Paid For the Diamond Sparkle service (59.95) and it was so NOT worth it. Rear window had milky water stains, missed out cleaning on one door, passenger seat was half vacuumed and poorly wiped and I see spray splatters all over my dash, doors and leather seats. Cup holder was wet. Who knows if they actually waxed my car or not as when I left my car there I also heard the car next to me complain that their interior wasn't cleaned.. Too bad I collected my car after they had closed.
I have used this company on and off in the past and there work was OK. However this will be the last time I use this company and I urge others to think twice before using them.The person in charge was very pushy, wanting me to pay for their top package which I declined.They always ask you sign a waiver which is worded such that unless you complain when you come and collect your car, it falls on deaf ears.I now know why the sentence regarding valuables is in there!!!! I have never left anything expensive in my car but I was not expecting them to relieve me of the small amount of money I leave in the car for parking as well as taking away my old unused mobile phone with a large crack across the screen. The final straw was when my novelty air freshener 'disappeared'.So from my own experience I would say avoid this company!!!!!
Paid 40 for platinum service, didnt wash car properly, car not waxed, tar not removed, wheels dirty, inside still had trash, they didnt remove car seat to clean under. But best of all they stole my sunglasses. Buchanan Galleries should ban them.
