Traditional pub in the centre of Glasgow. Popular with locals and always lively at the weekend. Good range of real ales, popular beers and spirits.
Love this bar, visit it for a meal every time we stay in Glasgow. Food is lovely, atmosphere even better.
A historic bar hidden away down a side street. Priced low compared to the 'trendy' places in Glasgow but the large circular bar in the big open room makes it unique. Extremely busy when there's football on so check the fixtures first!
I love the horseshoe bar. Every time you go you get a fantastic mix of people, all of whom are happy to talk and chat and be accomodating in every way.The prices are fantastic, including food if you're going during the day.The karaoke at night is incredible, but again there's a mix of X Factor and no factor, so you don't feel too scared to put your name down.Great place, consistently great atmosphere, and amazing staff. Check it out.
This bar close so central station is called the Horseshoe Bar for the simple reason that the bar is shaped like a horseshoe. Quite a famous bar in Glasgow with its traditional bar and antique style and it has quite a prestigious Karaoke upstairs with some top singers. For the more nationalistic among you, Irish as well as Scottish, it has Union Jack symbols on the windows in favour of the union although I don't know when they date from, they look fairly old.
