I'm originally from Glasgow, Scotland and this is a great place to visit on a rainy day for tourists. Located in Glasgow's prestigious West End. Get off the underground at Kelvingrove, or there is parking at the gallery. Also, it's a beautiful walk from trendy Byres Road. The walk to Glasgow University from Kelvingrove is beautiful in the summer with lush green tree's and in the fall the tree's are changing color.

We went to see the fuss about Dippy, but this museum/art gallery offers SO much more. A superbly impressive building (an exhibit in itself) with lots of thoughtful exhibits, well laid out and I would say would appeal to not just the hardened museum goer (for example a section on Glasgow, the animals and some impressive sculptures). We were fortunate to hear the organ recital as well. Definitely a world class museum and worth a few trips to truly appreciate everything. Very limited parking so suggest park further away or use public transport.

I will never tire of visiting this place! From some of the most beautiful and powerful art pieces (Dali blows me away every time) to a wonderful interactive and fun exhibit of natural history and specific Scottish delights, there's something to keep every mind engaged. Most recently, we went when Dippy was there, which added to the majesty of the building and the experience, but even when he's not there, the place blows my mind!

Beautiful building inside and out. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of lovely art and there was an organ recital whilst we were there. The cafe was good with great service.

Really very good. Stunning building and very interesting exhibits. It's a museum with a lot to see but not an overwhelming amount. Each room is just the right size. I would highly recommend a visit for any age group. The spitfire is fantastic of course. Very clean and well maintained and not busy during the week unlike all London museums!
